I recently suffered a severe leg injury that left me immobile for several weeks. The travel walker my wife purchased to help me navigate our ruined vacation was put through its paces, resulting in a breakdown of three out of four critical structural components within weeks. Given the supplier's likely inability to provide replacement parts, I resorted to using my calipers to design stronger versions of the faulty parts in OpenSCAD. These improved components were then printed on my Ultimaker using PLA plastic at a cost of less than $2. This simple repair has successfully restored the walker to its original functionality, saving me over $100. The design is highly customizable due to its parametric nature, allowing users to easily modify it to suit various applications or models by downloading and tweaking the SCAD file.
