This parametrized mouthpiece version is a predecessor to Mouthpiece 2.1, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:44422. After successfully printing a working Trumpet mouthpiece yesterday, the author learned OpenScad and created this model. Print it in ABS with 20% infill and 0.2mm layer thickness; sand the rim with fine sanding paper for a smooth finish. The OpenScad file includes parameters based on Vincent Bach 5 mouthpieces, which you can adjust to experiment with different properties. Adjustable parameters include: CupDiameter (16 for Trumpet), CupDepth (11), CupSphereFactor (0.8), RimWidth (6), RimRadius (2.5), ThroatRadius (2), ThroatDiameter (3), BoreDiameter (8 for Trumpet), FrontPipeDiameter (13), BackPipeDiameter (10), and MouthPieceLength (87 for Trumpet).
