This OpenSCAD script, last updated on October 3rd, 2017 for use in Customizer, features various pulley designs suitable for different timing belts. The latest version includes support for shafts with a flat, multiple nut sizes based on the shaft diameter, adjustable flanges, and making pulley sets where the second pulley's tooth count is determined by a ratio to the first one. Previous updates added options for any number of set screws at an angle, while the original version supported threaded shafts with a recess for a nut or up to two set screws in a hub. The script works well with RS's Synchroflex(R) timing belt (1500L x 10Wmm), cut in half. Code from DJ Delore adds trapezoidal teeth support and moves flanges to the bottom when only one is present. To use, open the script in Customizer and adjust parameters as needed; render with F6, and if slow, reduce $fs and $fa values. Supplied samples include a small pulley for a stepper motor, a large pulley with 4:1 tooth ratio to the first one, a large hub with three angled set screws, and another small pulley with a nut recess for a threaded rod. Generic parameters include tooth type selection, rendering settings, and pulley-specific parameters like belt specifications, pitch, tooth width, number of teeth, flanges, shaft diameter, and set screw configurations. Note that increasing $fs and $fa values may slow down rendering.
