For SolidWorks 2019 or higher - Copy user features on HDD into folder of design library - Open design library on right side of graphics area - Navigate to feature, drag and drop it onto face where thread should be created Note: Two references needed to be defined by user. Planar face and point on face. Thread will be created perpendicular to face and concentric to point. A couple of threads has already been created by me but table could be expanded. To create a customized thread on the fly, which is not contained in table, please set a hook in checkbox "Dimensions". Then you get access to last table. I use a Zortrax M200 printer. The two offsets (Kernloch & Profil) can be adjusted manually. If you also have a M200 and work with layer height of 0.09mm, you can use default values. If not, then you might have to adjust one or both of the values. General rules are: The more accurate the printer is working, the smaller the offset can be without producing a too tight thread. The smaller the offset is, the wider are the flanks of thread and the more stable it is. Adjusting parameters to individual printer is not difficult, it's just a matter of experience. Always use minimum layer height and work without support structure.
