Parametric Switch Panel
thingiverse
Updated 9/15/12: version 0.69 introduces mounting holes, trace output, snap-on Prusa Mendel brackets, and "debug" methods to this fully parametric, printable switch panel. With 26 adjustable parameters, users can tailor the panel's size, number of switches, throw angle, and switch configurations (SPST, SPDT, SPTT) by using old network cable wire and a brass fastener piece. The latest update also includes options for mounting hole placement and bracket snap-on features. To use, choose your desired values from the "User-defined values" section, render, and print. Experiment with different settings to achieve optimal switch action. Insert levers through front holes, add a pivot point (filament or screw), and attach wires to metal contacts for functionality. Wire channels are provided experimentally for routing wires. Check out photos for wiring examples using network cable and CA glue for secure connections. Happy printing and testing!
