Parametric Stacking Bin
prusaprinters
I was inspired by a recent upload to design a fully parametric stacking bin in Fusion 360. The design criteria is to setup parameters for width, depth (front to back), height and wall thickness. There are also a few other parameters for sidewall inset sizes and front lip height, label area height and filets.Prints without support in any material. If you are not familiar with fusion 360, you can generate a new bin model with these detailed steps once you have Fusion 360 installed and logged-in:Download the .f3dFIle menu ⟫ Open… (CTRL/CMD S)Click Open from my computerSelect the .f3d file on your hard driveType SHIFT P to open parameters dialog/window.Edit parameters listed below by clicking value in Expression columnClick OK button at bottom of parameter dialogFile ⟫ Save (CTRL/CMD S)Give your project a nameIn the “browser” (list left of model image) right click on the top item which should be the name you just used to save the project and pick Save As MeshChoose format of 3MF or STL, Refinement (I use High), click OKGive your mesh file a name and click Save Twelve steps seem like a lot but it's really not that hard, I just wanted to be very detailed.
With this file you will be able to print Parametric Stacking Bin with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Parametric Stacking Bin.
