Parametric Sponge Holder (with supports + accessories)
thingiverse
I searched for a good tray with a drain and really liked the basics of the original design. Since it was in OpenSCAD I was able to start with the original design and make some additions that lend it self to larger dimensions and heavier objects on the tray. My use is for a soap dispenser, sponges, brushes for the kitchen sink. With the original design the grid can probably hold the lighter objects, but definitely no the soap dispenser at the larger size. I ended up making 2.5 enhancements. - Grid supports once dimensions reach a specific size (you can see in the sample STL) - Option to have the walls rise a bit above the grid to make it more tray-like - (Half option) is to have insets for supports so you can print a leg. This would just require opening up the scad file and moving the positioning The other things I created was the accessories that can be inserted into the grid in the tray to hold stuff. - Zip Pole - a pole that you can zip tie items to, like a soap dispenser. Prevents the dispenser from moving or tipping over - Tube Holder - basically an empty tube you can put a small straw brush into, is open on the bottom so water can drain into the tray - Multi-Plug Platform - This can be the basis of your own custom accessory. It will put together the hex plug (in 2 rows) that you can then use OpenSCAD to design something on top of.
