Parametric Split Grommet
thingiverse
I wanted a way to shield wires without being encumbered by a bulky connecting lug that was too big for the grommet, so I devised a solution. The grommet unfolds when the container opens. It has a split that allows you to separate it after printing and a small amount of super glue holds each half in place securely. To install each half correctly, I had to drill a hole between the lid and the bottom of the case while the lid was closed, ensuring proper spacing. The OpenSCAD file is designed to be adjustable, allowing you to create your own custom design, but you'll need to adjust the z offset to get the spacing just right.
With this file you will be able to print Parametric Split Grommet with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Parametric Split Grommet .
