Human: Parametric variation of the Spaceship Fan Duct by paul0. Using OpenSCAD, you can change most of its parameters, including duct height, duct nozzle shape, duct nozzle inclination angle and distance from hot end nozzle, and various size and placement parameters. See below for an animated parametrization demo. Included STLs are for Anet A8 extruder with Volcano heater block. To customize, you will need the dotSCAD library: download the zip archive and extract it alongside fan-duct.scad. Here's how to set up and use OpenSCAD in customizer mode. Fan-duct.json contains some presets for OpenSCAD customizer. You may choose a model with either vertical or horizontal printing orientation, both models require support from the build plate for printing. The vertically oriented model takes less support material and prints faster, it also has built-in supports for the intake wall. There is also a test part for the clip-on fan intake, so you can print one and test how it fits your fan before attempting to print the whole duct. Intake parameters can be adjusted in the scad file. The resulting STLs are relatively high-poly, this may cause print stalls. You may want to limit the model resolution in your slicer to overcome this (e.g., in Slic3r set Print settings -> Advanced -> Resolution to 0.05). Another option is to decrease $fn in fan-duct.scad (e.g., set $fn to 16).
