Designed a simple solder fume extractor by repurposing an old DC fan. Purchased some high-quality activated carbon filter material from Amazon and trimmed it down to size. Other filtration options are available, and the filter can be removed if desired. The provided .stl files are optimized for use with an 80mm fan that is 30mm thick, assuming the inclusion of the aforementioned 8mm thick filter. However, the included Fusion360 archive is fully parametric, featuring variables for: Fan diameter Fan thickness Filter thickness These parameters allow users to create their own custom design using whatever fan works best for their specific needs.
