Parametric Snowflake Ornament
thingiverse
I tried making a parametric design using OpenSCAD and was inspired by this thing on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1388. To obtain an STL file for use in Skeinforge with my RepStrap, I nearly recreated it in OpenSCAD (although there are some design differences). OpenSCAD lacks a random function and doesn't handle recursion well. The resulting STL is slightly more fragile than desired but serves as a good test for a 3D printer during Christmas. To replicate this, open the file in OpenSCAD, modify variables in the header, export an STL, process it into G-code, and print. Alternatively, you can directly open the provided STL, process it into G-code, and print.
With this file you will be able to print Parametric Snowflake Ornament with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Parametric Snowflake Ornament.
