When our universal replacement knob for the mud sink malfunctioned, I retrieved my calipers and crafted a new one from scratch. The revised design still utilizes the adapter that came with the original set but doesn't require the spacers that were needed for the first iteration. To ensure it prints without any scaffolding, this version features a beveled edge around the screw hole. A secondary shim component allows you to thread the screw through and drop it in place, providing a flat surface for the washer. The original cold and hot covers seamlessly fit into the top of the knob. Given that different sinks demand varying depths, I've included the Blender file along with a Python script to generate the models and a shell script to automate the process if desired. Alternatively, you can simply open Blender and execute the program by pressing Alt-P in the text window to create the necessary parts. I printed the part using 1.5mm shell and top/bottom thickness to provide sufficient strength, and I opted for PLA material with a 200 micron spacing.
