This is a straightforward dovetail sliding mount I built for the SQ8 mini DV camera. Attach the camera to the trapezoidal plate with double-sided adhesive foam tape, then attach the mount to whatever you want to hold onto. It's parametric, so you can easily resize the dovetail mount to fit any other rectangular mounting surface. Update 2018/04/01: I just added a helmet mount.
