Parametric shelf-mounted filament holder
cults3d
This filament holder attaches securely to a shelf, or in my case, the underside of cabinets. I created this design using spare parts from my junk bin, but it can easily be adapted to fit other components. To print this model, you will need to use aubenc's "Poor Man's OpenSCAD Screw Library," which is the primary reason this holder is not fully customizable. Please refer to 'dimensions.scad' for specific parameters and adjustments. You will require the following printed parts: 2x clamp.stl 1x bracket_left.stl 1x bracket_right.stl 1x nut.stl 1x bolt.stl In addition, you will need a few extra components: A 10-cm length of 22 mm (outer diameter) copper pipe can be used to reduce friction. While it's not strictly necessary, the copper pipe makes the assembly process smoother. 4 M4x10 screws or bolts 4 M4 nuts with square sides measuring 7mm are required for this project. These were leftover from my printer's assembly, but you may need to use different sizes depending on your specific needs. Keep in mind that adapting this design to other component sizes is relatively straightforward. In fact, using M4x15 screws might be a more suitable option. To make the necessary changes, simply edit dimensions.scad and re-render the STL files. [edit] I have updated the .scad file for the wingnut to reflect the correct variable names. Please disregard any previous issues with this component.
