This highly customizable film spool is designed to fit your specific tank and the type of film you want to develop. Important: This design requires an inner tube, which must be installed in the tank for it to function properly. Simply adjust the parameters in openSCAD to match your tank's dimensions and tube size. Detailed explanations of each parameter and its effects can be found in the SCAD file comments. Sample STL files are provided for different film sizes: - A combination of Top, Bottom, and Mid parts will work with 9x12 film. - For 4x5 film, use all four parts (Top, Bottom, Mid, and SecondMid). You can also adapt the length of the Mid part to fit any desired size. To accommodate larger tanks, you may need to use the alternative versions of AltTop and AltBottom with a raised middle section. My printed version fits an AP Compact Developing tank (600ml) with its inner tube.
