Occasionally, one requires an S hook with particular dimensions. In some cases, a specific opening is necessary for the S hook. To fulfill these needs, a scad script can be written to generate customized S hooks. However, mornings can be challenging; one might compose repetitive phrases about S hooks instead of coding as desired by the boss. A simplified version of the scad script was shared by WilliamAAdams, allowing an opening greater than 180 degrees. The file s_hook1.2.scad contains his work. The script is highly parameterized and has minimal comments. You can adjust the radius, opening at both ends, width, and thickness of the bar. If the opening value is set to zero, it creates a closed loop.
