Parametric Rocket Fin Alignment Jig

This remix enhances justblair's impressive fin alignment jig with several key improvements. The original design had some minor flaws that have been addressed, particularly affecting larger jigs: Fin width is now accurately calculated, correcting an error where it was previously half a tube diameter off. The fin tab ends respect the wall thickness setting, ensuring precise measurements. Brim width is now configurable to meet various rocket needs. Cylinder smoothness variables have been updated from the $fn method to the $fs/$fa method for better results. Center cutouts are properly based on jig height, resulting in more accurate cuts. In addition to the SCAD file allowing users to create their own jigs, STL files are provided for several popular rockets: Estes Jetliner Estes Curvilinear Estes Mosquito Estes Mini Der Red Max Estes Der Red Max Quest Navajo AGM Madcow Formula 75 The Estes Jetliner jig stands out with a unique design featuring one fin removed and an added support for the wing. To align it properly, position the bottom of the jig against the bottom of the body tube, then slide the wing fully into the slot. The Madcow Formula 75 model was instrumental in uncovering many small issues with the original design. This is the largest rocket included in this set, boasting a substantial 4 mm thickness that provides ample support for fiberglass fins and yields perfectly aligned fins for the rocket.
