I modified this coupler so I could adjust the diameter slightly for the 5/16" rod. I altered it from 7.6mm to 7.94mm, which was just enough to still make a snug fit but allow the threaded rod in. While I was at it, I made this parametric, so you can adjust many variables to your liking. I also added an option to make it 2 parts in case someone needs to replace a broken coupling at some point without having to take the Z tower apart. I also uploaded a separate version http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:964680 that does not have variables specific to the Mostly Printed CNC project.
