Parametric reprap gen7 motherboard mount clamp
thingiverse
Originally, a large piece of plexiglass served as a motherboard holder, secured with zip ties; however, this design was not minimalistic, quick, or easy for mass production. Additionally, it could not be replicated on a RepRap. To solve these issues, clamps were developed to fit on the threaded rods of a RepRap's structure. The clamps provide stability through both tension and inward pressure when the motherboard is screwed onto them. For customization, use the openscad file provided, which features parametric options for rod diameter, machine width, and motherboard height. The stl files are designed for M6 rods and a Huxley-sized machine, but can be adjusted accordingly. Asymmetrical designs may result when increasing the motherboard's height above the default setting.
