A custom OpenSCAD file to create a recorder thumb rest for your instrument. I set it up for my Aulos tenor, an A511B model. The "diameter" parameter determines the outside size of the thumb rest, while internal_diameter sets the diameter of your recorder at the desired thumb rest position. You may need to adjust the "offset" to achieve a stable object that grips properly. I printed this in ABS on a Folgertech Prusa 2020 i3 and it took about 25 minutes. It's significantly better than the standard cork-and-rubber-band setup. I've also successfully printed thumb rests for a chalmuneau and an "Xaphoon" using either ABS or PLA. Printer Settings Prusa 2020 I3 is used. Rafts are not applied. Supports are not required. Infill density is set to 20%.
