Fully customizable to accommodate your selected board and motor dimensions, this model caters specifically to miniature motors with bearing tubes that can be easily pressed into holders, reducing weight. To ensure compatibility with larger propellers, add sufficient offset to the motor placement, considering half the prop diameter plus half the frame width, along with a safety margin for controller frame material. Future enhancements include top trays for radio transmitters, bottom battery caddy with foldable landing legs, and possibly a canopy attachment. Version 1.1 features adjustable tray supports/spacers and reversible tray usage for varied spacing options, even as battery holders. Version 1.2 incorporates prop guards that slip onto motor mounts, albeit requiring motor removal for installation; each guard is reusable. Update 1.3 introduces clip-on prop guards for easy use without removing motors, a simple canopy, and teardrop-shaped arm options for improved aerodynamics and scalability in larger quad configurations with minimal infill for reduced weight. The frame design supports the following components: Hobbyking motors (link), controllers (better option link), speed controllers, and receivers (link). Be cautious when using i86 boards from Hobbyking due to high frequency vibration issues; consider using foam tape or other padding for dampening in small quad builds with miniature motors. Opt for the i86L/Eagle N6 V2 instead, as it features a superior gyro.
