Parametric proximity sensor mount for i3 Rework E3D Extruder
thingiverse
Korri's Thingiverse project inspired my creation. To adapt it to a custom need, I modified the SCAD file, altering its parameters so it matches the specifications of an i3 Rework E3D Extruder. Specifically, it was made for use with 1.75 mm filament, found at this link and also on Thingiverse as part of this item: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:257811http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:415175 Measurements indicate that the sensor hole is precisely 12.2mm across. Upon printing with PLA at 195 degrees Celsius, however, it comes out exactly 12mm in diameter. **Customizations** Utilizing openSCAD software to edit Korri's original file allowed for these custom adjustments: - Spacing between screws set to match i3 Rework E3D Extruder standards at a consistent distance of 25 millimeters. - Optimal dimensions for the sensor hole adjusted accordingly.
