Parametric Print In Place Hinge

These simple and versatile hinges have been crafted with precision using FreeCAD. The print-in-place design provides fully functional and robust hinges ready for immediate use in various applications. No additional metallic pin is required. To customize your hinge, open the FreeCAD .fcstd file, adjust the parameters in the 'Dimensions' spreadsheet, and generate a unique version tailored to your needs. When certain parameter combinations are not feasible, FreeCAD will either disregard your choice or crash. The vertical play should be set slightly above the printing layer thickness to ensure an empty layer between the two leafs. Pin play must be adjusted according to the precision of your printer and nozzle size. These hinges are designed for vertical printing, so I incorporated an angle between the two leafs to enhance stability during the printing process. After printing, you need to force or knock them gently to facilitate rotation. If it's too challenging or if the hinge breaks, increase the pin play. An STL file is provided as an example of this design. Feel free to use and share this design. Good design requires dedication; donations are appreciated. Changelog: Updated on Apr. 20th, 2020: Simplified sketches, fixed a bug caused by redundant constraints. Updated on Apr. 12th, 2020: Improved the design to increase the folding angle, fixed a bug that appeared after a FreeCAD update.
