Parametric plant tags

This OpenSCAD file (PlantTag.scad) makes it simple to create new plant tags with clear, easy-to-read text. You'll need all 3 .scad files in the same folder for this to work properly. The two fontmetrics files are the key to making it possible to automatically adjust the sign's size to match the amount of text entered. Just change the "sign_text" variable to your desired text, press F6 to render, then F7 to export as STL. It's that easy! I've added a bunch of sample tags. It's pretty clear that I'm a big fan of Hosta plants. Note: This design is intended to be paused at the first layer containing the text, allowing you to switch to another color filament and continue printing (or use dual Extruder to switch color at the right layer).
