Parametric Pin Headers with options
thingiverse
I often have a need to remove the spacers from pin headers in order to allow two PCBs to fit back to back without spacers. Sometimes I also need to space something double the height of a regular spacer, so I pull the plastic spacers off pins and use them where required. I did not make any attempt to use customizer, as I have had very poor results trying to use it. It's easy enough to use OpenSCAD and just change the 5 variables. This is just for visualization in OpenSCAD or KiCAD. Well, you can print them of course, but the pins will not carry much current. ;-) I have just made this into a library for ease of using it in another OpenSCAD file. If you just want to make an STL, use the file pin_header.scad If you want to make a pin header for use in another file, place pin_headers.scad (note the name difference) into your OpeSCAD library, include it in a file, and call it with a single command, as shown in test.scad
With this file you will be able to print Parametric Pin Headers with options with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Parametric Pin Headers with options.
