this is a .scad file to help you building an overflow box for your fish / plant / coral / whatever tank. You can have teeth on the front side, but you can choose to have them also on left and right sides. Please see instructions for how to do this. I didn't do the compatible version to have customizer enabled so please be patient :). But with the comments in the scad it is in my opinion straight forward. Instructions You have to set first the main dimensions, setting the main_(x/y/z) variables. Next, you decide on the tooth height, choosing the value for tooth_z. Then, determine if you want teeth on the left or right side with the boolean values with_left_tooth and with_right_tooth. Finally, pick a suitable thickness, 3 is often a good choice but 2 can be too thin and 4 might be too much. You should also select an appropriate step value, which can range between main_x/20 and main_x/5, but you'll also need to consider the ratio to achieve the desired spacing between teeth. If you're printing on a mendel 90, keep these print settings in mind: ABS or PLA work well. Choose a layer width of between 0.1 and 0.2, with the first layer set to 200% and a height of 0.25. For optimal results, set perimeters and infill speeds to up to 80mm/s but note that this may vary depending on your specific printer model. Feel free to post any positive or negative comments!
