Parametric Oscillating Fan Base / Christmas Tree Base
thingiverse
Someone damaged the base of my oscillating fan. It used to fold up for storage, so I made a sturdier base that fits under the original cover hiding the pivot points on the design. Since I don't store it, this change makes sense. This base could potentially be used as a Christmas tree stand. I've included my Fusion 360 project file for anyone who wants to modify it. The design has nine easy-to-change parameters: Shaft Diameter Shaft Length (automatically adjusts if not modified) Base Diameter Base Height Upper Diameter (automatically adjusts if not modified) Upper Height Leg Hole Size Leg Hole Height (from the bottom of the model) Leg Angle (90 minus this parameter equals the angle) Let me know if you have any questions. I've considered creating this in OpenSCAD, but I don't have enough time to complete it. Maybe someone else would like to give it a try and share their results.
