Parametric multi-LED-strip bracket
cults3d
Remix of the single LED strip bracket by deadsy is being created, allowing multiple LED strips to be mounted in parallel. 31-Aug-17: Using this for mounting LED strips on house eaves, I realized the bottom lug would be mid-air. A new parameter has been added to rotate the bottom lug 90 degrees, making it right angles to the strips and flush with the bottom of the eaves. Another parameter allows holes between the LED strips and optional zero-length end lugs. 02-Sep-17: No room for the top lug was realized, but a bottom lug is still desired. The top lug has become optional. 22-Oct-17: Photos of installed strips have been added. Installation involves stringing up one strip with spring clips holding brackets in place. This allows moving it left/right to where it's wanted. One end is fixed and then worked towards the other, placing brackets on copper pads where strips can be cut. The bracket is nailed from the bottom first, then threaded into place, and finally nailed using a small panel pin. 17-Nov-17: Finished adding a wire hole. Longer strips (over 7 meters) require running +12V & ground to the far end; otherwise, far-end LEDs are dim.
