Sometimes simplicity triumphs. To fasten an item to a panel, you can merely input the width of the object and its height above the panel, then specify how wide the bracket itself should be, plus the thickness of the bracket holder, and the size of mounting flanges and holes, and a customized bracket is ready for printing! Print at whatever level of infill you deem necessary; 40% suffices for me when using ABS, PLA, or any other suitable material. Enter "1" to include holes, and "0" (zero) if you prefer no holes. All other numbers are in millimeters. OpenSCAD truly excels!
