If you build model rockets, you likely understand that aligning fins can be a finicky process. From measuring the tube to mounting fins at right angles to the body, errors often result in rockets that don't fly straight. I considered commercially available Estes jigs and DIY solutions but sought something simple to use, reasonably scalable. Here's my solution: A jig that inserts over the rocket body, parametric so you can adjust fin number, tube size, fin width, and more. It holds fins perfectly true while glue sets on your model rocket. **Step 1: Measure** - The outer diameter of your rocket body - The width of your fins - The number of fins Add these dimensions to the openscad model. Adjust jig height, wall thickness, and gap width (preventing bond between root of fin and jig). Print the part, clean up any flash, then insert it over your rocket tube.
