Parametric Makerfarm Prusa i3v micto adjustable Z stop.
thingiverse
This is an OpenScad parametric design for a screw based micro adjustable Z stop specifically crafted for the Makerfarm's Prusa I3v. It functions flawlessly on my machine, and if you desire modifications simply tweak the parameters and recompile in OpenScad to generate the STL. The parts are effortless to print using PLA with outstanding results. Notably, it is essential to enable material support for the two M5 screws' head sinks. I installed it by utilizing the stock screws that came with the I3v (cutting off the end of its metal lever, a necessity that remains uncertain), along with M5 screws for the rail slots and an extended M3 screw for the adjustment screw. Additionally, for installing the switch, I employed M3 screws while expanding the hole in the micro switch to fit snugly. A more refined approach would be acquiring smaller screws (M2.5?) and decreasing the hole diameters within the OpenScad file. The adjustment screw is situated near that plastic pin rather than the edge of the metal lever, thereby reducing leverage and augmenting stability as well as accuracy. If you are intrigued by a switch with more precision, browse Digi-Key for snap action limit switches featuring low differential travel; however, the stock switch of I3v proved satisfactory in my case.
