Parametric Make: Math Monday Linkage Bar

Make: has been running a series on linkages, which can be found at http://blog.makezine.com/2012/07/30/math-monday-linkages-an-introduction/. They provide the MoMath Linkage Kit as a PDF that you can print out or laser-cut. Alternatively, if you have a 3D printer like me but no laser cutter, you can print them out. The bar lengths are engraved in the bars using triffid_hunter's 8-bit number function. As of now, I have successfully printed satisfactory bars but am still awaiting connectors; suggestions are welcome. To follow along, you'll need the MCAD and openscad-bitmap libraries. Adjust the OpenSCAD file to set the linkage size and scale the design accordingly for your print bed. Then, edit the file further to specify bar lengths and print them out. Be sure to check out Make:'s linkage series, build your own linkages, and share photos of your creations here.
