A DIY script enables the creation of a custom camera lens mount that securely attaches to a tripod. The adapter fits snugly around the lens body before being threaded into a tripod mount. Please note that the model doesn't include threading, as research has shown that using a tap to thread the hole produces better results. Future updates could involve incorporating captive nuts for added stability. This script allows users to modify the diameter of the lens body, the tripod thread, and the clamp screw types. As a result, nearly any lens can be directly attached to a tripod, minimizing stress on the camera body, especially when handling large lenses. When printing this design, make sure to create the ring thick and wide for optimal support. Remember, always exercise caution when using 3D printed parts with your equipment.
