Custom dividers for LEGO sorting top trays (#45499) that come with WeDo 2.0, MINDSTORMS Education EV3, and Simple Powered Machines kits are a must-have accessory. These trays also fit the small (#45497), medium (#45498), and large (#9840) LEGO Education storage boxes perfectly. To create custom dividers, set a few variables to define your desired tray and divider configuration, then print away! All options are clearly documented in the SCAD file for easy reference. My prints were experiencing issues when they cooled (1.5mm walls, ABS filament), so I added the Mini_Supports option to thicken the ends of the dividers and keep everything together securely. Increasing nozzle temperature also made a significant difference. For trays with multiple long dividers, setting Divider_Supports = true; will join the ends of the dividers to prevent flexing and breaking off. This ensures that your custom dividers stay strong and durable throughout their use.
