Parametric LED matrix
thingiverse
Recently, I revised and refined the initial script. My knowledge has expanded significantly since the original release. The LED matrix holders currently available are non-parametric or incompatible with standard pitch veroboard, hence I designed my own using OpenSCAD. This customizable design allows adjustments to case height, number of rows/columns, LED size, grid size and spacing, as well as bottom plate and wall thickness. Included are sample files for the most popular formats: 5x7 and 8x8 for both 3mm and 5mm LEDs. Additionally, it can serve as a jig for creating LED cubes when properly adjusted. Please bear in mind that this is my first parametric creation, so constructive criticism is appreciated.
