Parametric Laser-Cuttable Pulleys

Parametric Laser-Cuttable Pulleys

Inspired by Erik's successful printable parametric timing pulley (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1362), I chose to adapt his OpenSCAD scripts for a laser-cuttable version of Mendel pulleys. However, I haven't cut these yet, so exercise caution. The design involves sandwiching layers held together by screws and nuts passed through the holes on either side of the shaft. Each layer can be modified based on material thickness. Additionally, the nut trap can now be turned off, along with washer-like layers, and each layer can be rendered separately for different materials. I'm also working on configurable settings for Mendel parts, currently featuring a preset configuration for motor drive pulleys (drive-pulley-3off). Adapting this as a basis for driven pulleys would require scaling the shaft to M8 and setting the number of teeth to 21.
