Create your own personalized lamp shade by utilizing OpenJsCad! This software now offers support for 2D modeling and DXF output. First, design the lamp shade in 3D before extracting 2D panels for CNC cutting. To get started, visit http://joostn.github.com/OpenJsCad and navigate to Examples, choosing Parametric Lampshade. Enter desired parameters and hit Update. Interact with the model by dragging it in your browser (Alt-drag for zooming). When satisfied, select Top Plate (DXF Output) and High Quality before clicking Update. Finally, click Generate DXF to obtain the 2D file needed for cutting, repeating this process for the side plate.
With this file you will be able to print Parametric lamp shade (CNC / laser cutting) in OpenJsCad with your 3D printer.
