Parametric OpenSCAD Ball Chain Pulley Wheels for a V-Plotter/Polargraph Machine. I've Included Several STLs. Two Different Size Pulleys for 4 and 5mm Shaft Steppers Are Available. The OpenSCAD Script Is Designed to Be Easy to Understand. As Mentioned in the Scad File, the Pully Size You Specify Might Not Match the Size of the Final Product Because the Script Calculates the Nearest Size Pulley That Can Accommodate a Certain Number of Evenly Spaced Balls. The Script Will Inform You in the OpenSCAD Console What the Final Circumference Is. You Can Then Use This Value in Your Software. The Ball Chain Settings Are Configured for the Metal Chain Commonly Available from Hardware Stores in the UK (See Http://bit.ly/20xqx43). However, These Settings Can Be Easily Modified to Suit Any Type of Chain You Prefer.
