This is a tweaked version of GregFrost's Parametric Involute Bevel and Spur Gears script located at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3575, modified to eliminate 'deprecated' warnings in more recent OpenSCAD (I'm using 2015.03-2). Also, I wrapped around the fix already published in the comments on that thing to remove a bug where teeth don't display on bevel gears in preview but do show in render. v5.1: Another necessary fix was found to correct an issue with non-bevel gears specified by circular pitch rather than diametral pitch. In case you want to know what I've done, the diff output is included, but feel free to ignore it if it doesn't make sense to you. This version shows teeth on all gears in preview and does not produce compiler warnings on 2015.03-2.
