Parametric Interlocking Chess Board

Several great sets of chess pieces are available here on Thingiverse. The pieces featured in the photo were created using this set: http://collabedit.com/2texs This is a custom-designed chess board with fully interlocking pieces, crafted in Fusion 360 for fun. Each square fits together seamlessly like a puzzle piece, and they are slightly taller near the edges of the board to conceal the interlocking tabs under the top of each successive piece. To avoid supports during printing, simply print the squares upside down. A mirror-printed surface will yield a nice glossy finish, although this is not essential. The STL files provided here are designed for 3x3cm squares (24x24cm board), but the accompanying Fusion360 file is fully parametric. You can easily modify it to resize the squares as desired, keeping in mind that Fusion 360 may take some time to recompute the board when making changes.
