Parametric Hose Joiner
prusaprinters
A simple parametric hose-joiner, to connect hoses of different sizes. This is based on the Fusion360 design, but I wanted to use open-source CAD software, so I'm using OpenScad here and their 'Customizer' for parameters. I used this so I could connect a pvc hose to an air-mattress pump, but it will have many uses whenever you need to join pipes of different diameter together. You can choose the properties for each side - top and bottom, wall-thickness, the centre length, and if there is a 'lip' to help a hose connect. The diameter of either end can be the inner-diameter, or outer-diameter; your use-case will determine this. Use callipers to measure the diameter of pipes you want to connect to, and add a tad so the joint is not too tight; I find 0.2 -> 0.5mm is sufficient. The lip size is the extra radius taken (either in-side or outside), so if adding a lip you will want to increase the diameter by this too. Use lip size of zero if a lip is not required. The offset of the lip from the end can be set too. Zero means the lip is at the end.You should be able to print without support. Print large side down and make sure the centre section is long enough, and has enough angle.
With this file you will be able to print Parametric Hose Joiner with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Parametric Hose Joiner.
