Parametric Herringbone Gear Set for Huxley extruder #30DoC
thingiverse
These herringbone gears, derived from Triffid Hunter's SCAD Script, are specifically designed for smaller Huxley (eMaker/RepRap Pro) extruders that employ M6 hobbed bolts and a Nema14 motor. Experience seamless printing with your Huxley. These gears were created on Day 2 of the 30 Days of Creativity challenge (#30DoC). For more information, visit http://30daysofcreativity.com/. You can find further details on my blog at www.richrap.blogspot.com. Assembling these gears requires patience and precision. First, ensure the motor is correctly aligned before securing it tightly. Next, fasten the hobbed bolt onto the large gear. Add washers and a bearing, then slide both the large motor and small gear simultaneously into the extruder body while placing the smaller gear onto the motor shaft. Finally, tighten the smaller gear onto the motor shaft for optimal fit.
