Parametric Grid Storage
prusaprinters

This is a fully parameterized Fusion 360 project that provides basic components to create grid-based storage inserts. These are inspired by Alexandre Chappel (Youtube) and Zach Freedman's video Gridfinity: Your Ultimate Modular Workshop is FREE!

Why another take? Alexandre's did not provide model files, and Zach's model files, although parametric, did not work for grid sizes other than the 42 mm that he used. I preferred Alexandre's 55 grid size (who's fingers fit inside a 42 mm box?!).

Please do not ask me to export STL files for your needs. Instead use the Fusion 360 files to export the STLs that you need. I tried to make my Fusion 360 component timelines as clean as possible, so hopefully the file is easy to use. Maybe share any exported files as remixes of this project. I suggest using the name Grid55 for models that are on a 55 mm grid, or Grid42 for Gridfinity models.

The model includes:

Basic stackable box

Label tab

Base plate

Weighted base plate

Support for magnets (suppress or unsuppress these edits in the timeline if you want to turn magnet holes on or off)

A lid

A filled box (a great base from which to make custom projects)

Dividers in both X and Y direction
