Parametric (FreeCAD) Soft Jaws for Vice/Vise

thingiverse

This is a parametric jaw design that can be easily customized using FreeCAD. To begin, simply open the model and access the Parameterize Sketch feature to start editing its dimensions. Most other dimensions can also be set within this section. The jaws are designed with holes for rectangular magnets, strategically spaced to avoid interfering with the screws used to mount the hard jaws. This design is still a work in progress, but it's intended that all remaining dimensions will eventually be configurable within the Parameterize Sketch feature. This model was created using FreeCAD 0.18.4 and is licensed under GPL-3.0+. When printing this design, use PETG or TPU materials with a layer height of 0.2 mm for optimal results. No support material is required, and printing in the orientation specified by the STL file will yield the best outcome. To ensure a secure fit between the jaws, apply a small drop of epoxy to the magnets. While this design accommodates three magnets, it functions perfectly well with just two.
