Parametric Footplate - Diamond Pattern
thingiverse
I have used footplates on numerous projects of mine, all handcrafted and often requiring tedious reconfigurations for varying sizes. Determined to simplify the process, I created a parametric version for hexagonally packed openings, which can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3150685. Adapting this design to a diamond pattern was a straightforward task, resulting in the model presented above. The OpenSCAD model does not include safeguards to restrict hole sizes and corner radii to realistic values, so if you encounter issues with the grid disappearing or your rim vanishing, check that the Outer and Inner radius and hole sizes are compatible. You can access the hexagonal-circle pattern footplate here: **Parametric Footplate** (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3150685), as well as the square grid version here: **Parametric Footplate - Square Grid Pattern** (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3150704). I hope you find these designs useful.
