Parametric Floor Standing Signs
thingiverse
Inspired by muzz64's Mini Floor Stands, I decided to create something similar but customizable in OpenSCAD. Each of the four lines of text can have its own size (and font/style in OpenSCAD, though not in Customizer) - I recommend 6pt as the largest size for correct spacing. If you only need two lines, define them and skip the rest. To make dual extrusion easier, I added an option to show just the text/border or just the sign, or everything, and Customizer will generate multiple STL files accordingly. Check out the slicer screenshot. I also included a Makefile so you can run "make PART=sign" to have OpenSCAD generate the STL file. For different messages on each side, see my other design. Print Settings: Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro 2016 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.18 Infill: 15% Notes: I've tried PLA and dual-extrusion PLA+ABS so far - tip: never try to get ABS to stick to PLA! This design doesn't need a raft or supports. You can either paint/sharpie the border/text, pause and change filament, or dual extrude.
