Parametric Flexbox
thingiverse
The FdS flex-box's parametric version allows easy customization of its dimensions. Using a preferred text editor, modify parameters such as height, width, and length in the flexbox.ps file. Subsequently, utilize a laser cutter to produce your desired box. Version updates (1.1, 1.2, and 1.3) have addressed bugs and issues, including decimal number concerns. To use, download flexbox.ps, edit boxlength, boxwidth, and boxheight in the defining section, save, open with a graphics program like CorelDraw, and laser cut. A 1/8" plywood box was successfully created using a 35-watt laser at 100% power, 0.5% speed. The resulting flexible plywood bends to create an attractive box suitable for gifting or personal use.
