Rewritten instructions for Parametric Eric's Improved Z Axis Coupler in SCAD, based on thing 14489: Usage Instructions: 1. Print the coupler file. 2. Remove support columns. 3. Insert a nut into the big slot. 4. Place a 3mm nut in the small slot. 5. Add a short 3mm screw in the lower hole for securing the motor shaft. 6. Fasten a nut onto the Z-axis threaded rod. 7. Screw the rod into the captive nut through the bottom hole until it stops. 8. Tighten the lower nut against the bottom. Modification Instructions: - The coupler shape is altered to allow custom thickness between shaft hole and outer part. - Adjust main_shaft_depth (14mm default) and second_shaft_depth (18mm default) for deeper holes. - Change main_shaft_size (8mm default), second_shaft_size (5mm default), and outside_thickness (7.5mm default) as desired. - The top is 15.5mm wide, while the bottom is 12.5mm wide. - Modify main_nut_max_width and main_nut_height to fit your nut size if you're not using M8 threaded rods.
