Parametric Elbow

Parametric Elbow

thingiverse

The "Elbow.scad" file contains a parameteric elbow or shoulder joint design suitable for an articulated robot arm. It can create various hinged structures like gates, covers, and baby cart support bars while concealing wires inside the mechanism. Created by Quentin Harley in 2012 under GPLv2 license, it requires adjustment of parameters to match PVC or other piping used for arm sections with 3mm thick walls. Inner diameter should be 6mm less than outer size. For each elbow joint, print two copies and install two 608 bearings in the recesses on one half and secure the other half to an 8mm threaded rod using 20mm washers placed in the bearing recesses.
