Parametric Drivetrain(without trasmission) SparX 1126
grabcad
This folder contains a parametric CAD model using Autodesk Inventor 2020 and Microsoft Excel for the SparX 1126 team's drive frame, designed for potential use in the 2020 season of FIRST Robotics. The model is not a complete drive system as it lacks some essential components, notably the transmissions. This is just a basic frame and drive train that can be expanded upon to meet specific needs. The frame in CAD references dimensions from two Excel spreadsheets that provide parameters for the frame, including robot length, robot width, ground clearance etc... These parameters are used to scale the entire CAD model to size, based on the dimensions input. The parameters are intended for reasonable values, with the RobotLength parameter aiming to range between 24.5-31.5 in long. The gears utilized are VexPro 20DP 1/2" hex bore gears. The dimensions for the gears are represented in the parameters as G(number of teeth)T, for instance a 64 tooth gear's Gear Pitch Diameter parameter is named G64T. The main spreadsheet containing parameters is called "RobotParametersTangent". The light yellow cells in this spreadsheet are intended to be adjusted (within reason). The darker yellow cells can be changed but may cause issues and errors due to incomplete implementation into the scaling of the CAD files.
